Katherine & Kieran

On their wedding day, our beautiful bride Katherine and Kieran celebrated their love with a whimsical springtime wedding at Hampton Estate Wines in Mount Tamborine. Surrounded by rolling hinterland views, soft pastel details, and an enchanting fairytale-inspired atmosphere, their day felt romantic, joyful, and deeply personal.

After being together since 2013, the couple have grown up side by side, sharing countless chapters of life together. From travelling and going to live shows and concerts, to spending quiet nights at home watching movies, their relationship is built on the perfect balance of adventure, comfort, and connection.

For her wedding dress, our bride created something truly unique by combining elements from three different gowns. With off-the-shoulder sleeves, a fitted bodice, a princess-style skirt, and a touch of glitter, the final gown brought together everything she had imagined for her wedding day.

From a proposal that began with a “lost bike part” to a quiet balcony moment before entering the reception, their wedding was a beautiful celebration of love, patience, and pausing to take in every magical moment.

WHO PROPOSED AND HOW?

Kieran proposed at a lookout under the pretense of searching for a lost bike part, as he regularly cycles up the hill.

At the time, our bride Katherine was hungry and a little grumpy, and when Kieran asked her to help look for the part, she said no. But once she realised what was really happening, the moment became incredibly special and one she will never forget.

A BIT ABOUT YOUR RELATIONSHIP

The couple have been together since 2013 and, in many ways, have grown up together.

Although they are complete opposites in so many ways, that is exactly why they work so well. Their differences bring balance to their relationship, creating a partnership that feels both grounding and full of life.

Together, they love travelling, going to live shows and concerts, and making memories through shared experiences. But they are just as happy enjoying a quiet night at home, watching movies and simply being together.

WHERE DID YOU GET MARRIED?

The couple got married at Hampton Estate Wines in Mount Tamborine, a romantic hinterland venue surrounded by natural beauty, lush scenery, and sweeping mountain charm.

Set amongst the peaceful Tamborine Mountain landscape, the venue created the perfect backdrop for their enchanting springtime celebration. With its elegant estate feel, picturesque surroundings, and warm, intimate atmosphere, Hampton Estate Wines complemented the couple’s whimsical wedding vision beautifully.

The setting allowed their pastel, fairytale-inspired styling to feel right at home, creating a day that felt soft, romantic, and full of magic from beginning to end.

WHAT INSPIRED YOUR WEDDING SYLE OR AESTHETIC?

The wedding was inspired by springtime magic.

The couple wanted the day to feel pastel, enchanting, and whimsical, almost like stepping into a Taylor Swift-inspired fairytale. Their vision was soft, romantic, and dreamy, with details that created a magical atmosphere while still feeling personal to them.

Every element worked together to bring that fairytale feeling to life, from the colour palette to the overall sense of warmth and celebration.

TALK US THROUGH YOUR DRESS

Our bride’s dress was created by combining elements from three different gowns.

She knew she wanted off-the-shoulder sleeves, a tightly fitted bodice that flowed into a princess-style skirt, and, of course, a touch of glitter.

Once all of those elements came together, she knew it was the one.

Romantic, whimsical, and completely personal, her gown perfectly reflected the fairytale feeling of the day. The structured bodice gave her the fitted silhouette she had envisioned, while the princess-style skirt added softness, movement, and bridal drama. The glitter detail brought the final touch of magic, making the gown feel beautifully aligned with the springtime fairytale aesthetic.

WHAT WAS THE BEST MOMENT FOR YOU AT YOUR WEDDING?

One of the most special moments happened just before the couple entered their reception.

Before walking in, they hid upstairs on the balcony together and looked down at all their closest family and friends gathered below. It gave them a quiet moment to pause, take everything in, and appreciate the love surrounding them before the celebrations began.

It was a private moment within a very public day, allowing them to soak in the atmosphere, the people, and the joy of everything they had created together.

Our bride and Kieran’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that the most meaningful moments are often the quiet ones. From their playful proposal story to their whimsical wedding vision, every part of their day felt personal, romantic, and completely true to them.
