An editorial styled shoot
Recently, AFTER FIVE had the pleasure of contributing gowns to a beautifully curated styled shoot at Lagnicourt, a French-inspired wedding venue set in the heart of the Granite Belt. Blending European elegance with the natural beauty of rural Queensland, the space offered a setting that felt warm, refined, and deeply considered.
From the moment you arrive, Lagnicourt carries a sense of place. Located in Pozieres, just north of Stanthorpe, the venue is surrounded by landscaped gardens, dam views, and the quiet beauty of a working apple orchard. With its textural walls, soft neutral palette, and architecture inspired by the family’s connection to Northern France, Lagnicourt created the perfect backdrop for a shoot centred around connection, detail, and timeless bridal style.
At the heart of the editorial was our couple, Carla and her partner, whose natural chemistry brought an effortless warmth to every frame. Their moments together felt soft and genuine, balancing the structure of the venue with the emotion and movement of modern romance.
For this shoot, AFTER FIVE provided a selection of gowns designed to reflect the contemporary bride. Structured bodices, flowing skirts, and refined detailing created silhouettes that felt both fashion-forward and timeless. Each gown moved beautifully within the space, complementing the venue’s warm tones, European-inspired architecture, and rural surroundings while allowing the bride to remain the focus.
The overall aesthetic leaned into a modern European mood, elevated yet restrained. Thoughtful styling by DD Event Hire and layered florals by Leaf and Bloom Florals added texture, softness, and depth, creating a visual story that felt polished without feeling overdone.
Hair by Jasmine and Jade and makeup by Karli Mac enhanced the natural beauty of our bride, creating a look that felt luminous, soft, and perfectly aligned with the tone of the shoot.
Throughout the day, light and contrast played a key role. From warm, tonal imagery to striking black-and-white moments, each frame captured a different part of the story. Cinematic, intimate, and quietly elegant.
