Angela & Daniel

On their wedding day, Angela and Daniel celebrated their love surrounded by timeless charm and natural beauty. From a romantic proposal in Montville to a heartfelt ceremony and relaxed countryside reception, every part of their day felt intentional and deeply personal.

The couple were married at Maleny Presbyterian Church, a charming Queenslander-style chapel Angela had always dreamed of, before celebrating with family and friends at Yabbaloumba Retreat, a stunning property that perfectly captured their vision.

Angela’s bridal look reflected a blend of classic, modern, and vintage rustic style. She wore the Hepburn gown that created an unexpected emotional moment — “as soon as I put it on, my bridesmaids and I started crying.” She elevated the look with detachable drop sleeves for a second reception style and paired it with a long veil, keeping accessories minimal to let the intricate detailing shine.

From golden sunset portraits to a quiet moment sharing gifts and opening a special bottle of wine together, their day was filled with meaningful pauses and unforgettable memories.

WHO PROPOSED AND HOW?

Daniel proposed during a romantic picnic in a park in Montville, creating a moment that was simple, intimate, and incredibly special. Surrounded by nature, it felt relaxed and meaningful, the perfect reflection of their relationship and the beginning of their next chapter together.

WHAT INSPIRED YOUR WEDDING STYLING OR AESTHETIC?

“Our wedding vibe was a mix of classic, modern, and vintage rustic,” Angela shared. They wanted a day that felt timeless yet relaxed, blending clean, elegant elements with softer, more natural textures. This balance came through in both their venue choices and the overall atmosphere, refined, but never overdone.

TALK US THROUGH YOUR DRESS:

“I didn’t expect to have that ‘wow’ moment you see in movies, but as soon as I put the Hepburn gown on, my bridesmaids and I started crying.” Angela’s gown instantly felt right, effortless, flattering, and completely aligned with her vision.

She added detachable drop sleeves to create two looks in one, allowing for a more classic ceremony style before transitioning into something slightly softer and more relaxed for the reception. Paired with a long veil that added drama and movement, she kept her accessories minimal, letting the intricate detailing of the dress take centre stage.

WHAT WAS THE BEST MOMENT FOR YOU AT YOUR WEDDING?

“My favourite part of the day was the sunset photos and the quiet moment my husband and I shared.” Stepping away from the celebration, Angela and Daniel took time just for themselves, exchanging gifts and opening a special bottle of wine they had saved. It was a calm, intimate pause in the day, allowing them to truly take in the moment and reflect on everything they had just experienced together.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER BRIDES?

“Be super intentional with all your time on your wedding day,” Angela shared. “And just be yourself — don’t worry about being the ‘best version’.”

For them, the most meaningful parts of the day were the genuine, unscripted moments, a reminder that the most beautiful weddings are the ones that feel true to you.
