Skye & Tristan

Skye and Tristan’s wedding was an intimate European elopement set against the breathtaking coastline of Positano, Italy. With dramatic cliffside views, soft Mediterranean light and a romantic boat ceremony, their day felt effortlessly cinematic, deeply personal and completely true to who they are as a couple.

After meeting seven years ago through the run club Tristan was running, the pair quickly built a life grounded in shared passions, adventure and time spent together. Fitness, running and endurance sport have become such a big part of their story, with the couple now owning a gym and supplement store together while Skye also works within the endurance apparel world.

For their wedding, Skye and Tristan knew they wanted something that felt different from a traditional celebration. Drawn to the idea of eloping, they chose a day that felt intimate, romantic and full of European charm. A boat ceremony along the Positano coastline, followed by dinner overlooking the sea, created the perfect setting for a celebration that felt both relaxed and unforgettable.

For her wedding gown, Skye chose Charlotte a dress that was completely different to what she first imagined. But the moment she tried it on, everything changed. With a romantic full skirt, structured bodice and soft, princess-like feel, the gown brought a sense of drama and beauty to the Italian coastline.

From Tristan’s surprise proposal on the beach in Hawaii to the unforgettable feeling of walking through Positano as locals cheered and congratulated them, every part of their story feels filled with adventure, romance and once-in-a-lifetime moments.

WHO PROPOSED AND HOW?

Tristan proposed at Ka’a’awa Beach Park, a beautiful oceanfront park on Oahu’s Windward Coast in Hawaii.

The couple were in Hawaii for the Ironman World Championships with Skye’s work, and stayed on for an extra week of holidays. Skye’s best friend, who is also a photographer, joined them and pretended to take photos of the couple before Tristan surprised Skye by getting down on one knee.

Set against the oceanfront backdrop of Hawaii, the proposal was thoughtful, personal and perfectly captured in the moment.

A BIT ABOUT YOUR RELATIONSHIP

Skye and Tristan met seven years ago through the run club Tristan was running.

Since then, their relationship has grown through a shared love of fitness, running and endurance sport. Together, they own a gym and a supplement store, while Skye also works for an endurance apparel company.

Their life is busy and often involves travelling for work, meaning they spend a lot of time together, but at the heart of their relationship is a genuine friendship. More than anything, they are best friends who truly love spending time side by side.

WHERE DID YOU GET MARRIED?

Skye and Tristan were married in Positano, Italy.

Surrounded by the beauty of the Amalfi Coast, their wedding felt romantic, intimate and beautifully removed from tradition. The coastline, cliffs and soft European light created a setting that felt both elegant and unforgettable.

From moments on the boat to walking through the streets of Positano after the ceremony, the destination became such a special part of their wedding story.

WHAT INSPIRED YOUR WEDDING SYLE OR AESTHETIC?

Skye and Tristan always knew they didn’t want a traditional wedding.

They were drawn to the idea of eloping, and after Skye came across a photo carousel of a similar celebration, she fell in love with the idea of getting married on a boat in an intimate setting. A romantic dinner overlooking the Positano coastline felt like the perfect way to end the day.

Skye has always loved European style and culture, which shaped the overall feeling of the wedding. The final result was timeless, romantic and full of effortless Italian charm.

TALK US THROUGH YOUR DRESS

Skye’s dress Charlotte was the complete opposite of what she originally imagined.

But the moment she put it on, she knew it was the one. Although travelling with the gown for a month before the wedding was wildly impractical, it was completely worth it.

The gown brought a beautiful sense of romance and drama to the day, with a full flowing skirt and elegant bodice that made Skye feel like a princess. Against the Positano coastline, it created the perfect balance of softness, structure and European bridal elegance.

WHAT WAS THE BEST MOMENT FOR YOU AT YOUR WEDDING?

For Skye, one of the most unforgettable moments was walking through the streets of Positano after the ceremony.

As they made their way through the town, locals cheered, clapped and congratulated them. It felt surreal and incredibly special, creating one of those rare moments that felt almost too beautiful to be real.

ADVICE FOR FUTURE BRIDES?

Skye’s advice is to remember that it is your day, and you only get one.

Don’t let other people’s opinions guide every decision. Choose what feels right for you both, and create a day that reflects your relationship, your style and the experience you truly want.

Skye and Tristan’s Positano elopement was the perfect reflection of their story: adventurous, romantic and deeply personal. From a surprise proposal in Hawaii to an intimate wedding along the Amalfi Coast, every moment felt intentional, unforgettable and completely their own.
